INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY
On International Literacy Day, Class V students embraced the philanthropic mission "Each One Teach One" as mini rays of change. They were brimming with love and empathy and crossed their class boundaries to empower the school support staff with the power of words.
It was in this humble lesson that the young students led them through the process of writing a leave application in Hindi, a task that needed not just knowledge but dignity and independence to another level. They also taught them simple but impactful phrases such as "Sorry," "Thank you," "Please," and "May I help you," reminding one that language is not only about the letters and the sounds but also about creating respect, kindness, and confidence in every moment of life.
The space was filled with warmth, laughter, and cross-teaching, where the teachers were learning and the students were teaching. What was occurring was a little more than a lesson; it was a celebration of empowerment, community, and the authentic spirit of literacy.
The program culminated in its sweet height with the sweet, harmonious voices of the school song, ringing out in harmony, unity, and promise of a new dawn.
